Children & Youth

Child Protection

Banchory Christian Fellowship Church is committed to the nurturing and safeguarding of all children and adults at risk with whom we come into contact, and to ensuring their wellbeing.  Safeguarding is an integral part of our church life and ministry with our teachers and youth leaders being members of the PVG Scheme.

Junior Church

Banchory Christian Fellowship Church is dedicated to teaching God's Word to both adults and children.  Each week children aged 3-11 join with the adults for the first part of the 11.00am service, after which they leave for Junior Church.  The Bible is taught in an interesting, age appropriate way by leaders whose desire is for children to come to know and love the Lord Jesus and to be encouraged in their faith.
We offer the following classes:
Willows (pre-schoolers from age 3)
Sycamores (P1 - P3/4;  age 5-8)
Oaks (P4 - P7;  age 9 -11)
We use materials provided by Go Teach which offers a four year teaching plan to give a grounding in Bible knowledge.  The children also enjoy a time of singing, quizzes and activity sheets to reinforce the lessons. Visitors are always welcome, if you have any questions please contact Janet Bolton

Senior Bible Class

Bible Class is held each Sunday during the morning service in school term time.  Except on the 3rd Sunday of the month, when the young people stay in the service.
Bible Class is a relaxed study group that chats about, discusses and explores bible passages.  It aims to support and encourage young people during their senior school years S1 to S3 (age 11 to 14) in their Christian discipleship and evangelism. For further information please contact Sharon Bradley .

Connect

'Connect' focuses on encouraging BCFC youth in their faith and Christian journey.  Connect will take its place at someone’s home each Friday evening in term time when our BCFC youth will still have the opportunity to invite school friends.

Encounter
Encounter is held on the 2nd Sunday of each month during term time, at 6.00pm 'til 7.20pm.
Encounter is a youth service but is welcoming to all.

Creche

Parents/carers with children aged under 3 years, may access the creche at any time whilst attending the Sunday morning service.  Activities include stories, colouring and play.

Little Blessings

Little Blessings is available to all children from birth to pre school starting at 9:45am until 11:15am each Thursday during term time. It includes snacks, sing-alongs and play time. More information can be found on the Little Blessings page.
